In addition to collaborating with media such as El País, he has published illustrated books addressing topics such as mental health, feminism and human rights, always from a close, empathetic and humorous perspective. MARTA CERDÀ
Saturday 31 May at 12:05 (CEST)
Marta Cerdà is one of the most internationally recognised graphic designers. Her work spans art direction, editorial design, illustration and, especially, typography—an area in which she has developed a distinctive, experimental and highly expressive visual language. After winning the Art Directors Club Young Guns Award in New York in 2008, she founded her own studio and has collaborated with global brands such as Adobe, The New York Times, Nike, Coca-Cola and Penguin Random House. Her multidisciplinary approach breaks down boundaries between techniques and styles, with projects that sit at the intersection of art and design. Marta champions visual emotion as a tool for connection, and her work has been exhibited and awarded worldwide.

SOMOS CUCHILLO
Saturday 31 May at 16:55 (CEST)
Somos Cuchillo is a graphic design and art direction studio that operates from the belief that design can (and should) be a critical act. Their approach is conceptual, direct and free from artifice, with a visual language that spans graphic identity, visual communication, typography and publishing. Their work brings together political, aesthetic and symbolic dimensions, with each project serving as an opportunity to question, narrate or subvert. From institutional campaigns to cultural and editorial projects, the studio is defined by a committed perspective, attention to detail, and a style that does not seek to please, but to provoke. More than a name, “Somos Cuchillo” is a statement: to cut through convention, sharpen messages, and leave a mark. Their work has been recognised for its ability to translate complex ideas into powerful visual solutions—often uncomfortable, always necessary.

F33
Saturday 31 May at 13:25 (CEST)
Fundación 33 is a creative entity operating at the intersection of graphic design, art and visual activism. Based in Madrid, they explore the potential of design as a tool for cultural and social transformation, creating projects that go beyond the boundaries of traditional communication.
Their practice is driven by research, critical thinking and collaboration with communities, institutions and cultural agents. They work across visual identity, editorial design, graphic installations and purpose-driven campaigns, always from a human-centred and committed perspective.
Their projects bring together formal rigour and experimentation, aesthetics and critique. Fundación 33 does not design just to be seen—it designs to make people think, to question, and to provoke when necessary. Their work has been exhibited, shared and replicated for its ability to generate conversation and inspire action.
Ogilvy
Saturday 8 June at 16:20 (CEST)
At the beginning of its history, there was only one Ogilvy—the company founded by David Ogilvy in 1948. Today, Ogilvy is once again a single company, now spanning 83 countries with 132 offices worldwide. A single point of entry to a creative network that has been redefined with the aim of making brands matter in an increasingly complex, hyperconnected and noisy world.
Jordi Morera, Head of Experience Design, and Nacho Fretes, Head of Visual Design at Ogilvy Barcelona, present Ogilvy Loves Design. In a constantly evolving world, companies must adapt to new realities and consumer behaviours to remain relevant. At Ogilvy, transformation is a continuous process, where design and technology come together with creativity as essential disciplines to impact briefs, processes, solutions and even the company’s structure. Their goal is clear: “make brands matter”.

CURRO CLARET
Saturday 31 May at 15:30 (CEST)
Industrial designer born in Barcelona, Curro Claret has built a career defined by social commitment, sustainability, and experimentation with materials, processes and narratives. His approach moves away from conventional design and towards the human, the imperfect and the collective.
Rather than creating objects, Claret builds contexts: he collaborates with social organisations, works with recycled materials and develops methodologies that invite us to rethink the role of design in today’s world. His iconic T300 metal structure, used in workshops with people in vulnerable situations, is an example of how design can be a tool for empowerment and transformation.
Positioned somewhere between design, craftsmanship, activism and education, his work has been exhibited in institutions such as the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and the Vitra Design Museum. Claret does not design to decorate the world, but to make it fairer, more liveable and more conscious.

Friday 30 May from 10:00 to 17:00
Designers are facing a present—or immediate future—where artificial intelligence seems ready to replace us. A creative dystopia threatens us, and we don’t quite know how to react… so why not turn it around and “tame” this techno-monster that’s making us feel small? To do so, we propose a workshop challenge with one of Barcelona’s most imaginative creatives: Dominnico, creative director of his own brand—featured on the 080 runway and worn by some of the world’s most famous celebrities—and LAB NO LAB, a creative AI studio.
The workshop will also include supervision and support in digital content creation from Toni Canillas, digital content designer and animator known for collaborating with local artists and designers.
Throughout the day, you will present your ideas to the mentors and prompt them into AI to generate prototypes, new products and whatever your imagination allows. Are you ready to take on this workshop challenge, or will you keep running away?
Who is it for?: students, designers, visual creatives and curious minds in the fashion world who want to explore the potential of AI as a design tool.

FESesDESIGN MORE SOCIAL THAN EVER
Arrels Foundation, 36 years making #NoOneSleepingOnTheStreet possible
Arrels Foundation is an organisation that has been supporting the most vulnerable people living on the streets of Barcelona for over thirty years. It works alongside them to help them achieve the greatest possible level of autonomy and to meet their basic needs by providing accommodation, as well as social and healthcare support. Since its creation, Arrels has supported more than 20,300 people experiencing homelessness.
It has a street team that moves around the city to visit people sleeping rough and understand their needs. It also runs a centre in the Raval neighbourhood where basic services such as showers, clothing and storage are available.
Arrels Foundation also works to raise public awareness, highlight unfair situations and provide solutions to public institutions and civil society to make #NoOneSleepingOnTheStreet possible.
For this reason, ESDESIGN will make a €5 donation for each person attending FESesDESIGN in person on 8 June, to support this community.
