Study Plan of the Online Master’s in Digital Graphic Design
The Master’s in Digital Graphic Design consists of 10 modules, a Final Master’s Project, and 2 additional workshops:
You will study the essential elements of graphic design (color, shape and hierarchy) and understand how form relates to function. You will develop visual concepts and learn to formalise coherent outcomes. You will also work on strategy and the implementation of visual communication to apply your ideas to real projects.

JORGE WIMES, FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT MANEKO
Graphic designer and UX/UI specialist with over 16 years of experience in interactive and digital projects. He has witnessed and contributed to the evolution of digital media across leading companies.
You will understand what design is and why it has been key in the evolution of society. You will explore the main cultural currents and contemporary artistic movements to situate yourself in their context. This study will allow you to analyse how design acts as a driver of change in a constantly evolving society and how it influences the way we communicate and create today.

ÓSCAR GUAYABERO, CURATOR AND PARADESIGNER
He works across design, architecture, communication, cultural management and social activism. He is a curator of exhibitions, theorist and specialised journalist, as well as the author of reference articles and books in design and architecture. He combines his professional work with teaching, generating spaces for reflection and dissemination, and contributes his experience as an advisor in design, communication, product, naming and graphics.
You will delve into typography as an essential tool in design, understanding how the appropriate use of type drives any visual project. You will study typographic signs, letter anatomy, and their main historical classifications. You will analyse the evolution of typography and learn to construct structures and hierarchies that enhance readability and communication in both print and digital environments.

QUIQUE LÓPEZ, CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER OF PINO DESIGN
After working in several studios and agencies, in 2016 he founded Pino, working for major brands such as Burger King UK, Burger King ROI, Wyndham Hotels, Cauchos Karey, Albert and Ferran Adrià, Equilibrium, and actahotels. He has received a Silver Laus Award in the Graphic Design category (naming and book), and served as a juror for these awards in 2014, as well as for the Valencia Crea competition in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
You will learn to create graphic brands (logos, isotypes or imagotypes), developing your visual synthesis skills. You will work with Adobe Illustrator as a key tool to draw and build solid identities. You will master vector resources that allow you to represent ideas in an iconic, precise and simple way, adapting them to each client’s needs.

ÓLIVER MONTIEL, CO-FOUNDER AND DESIGN DIRECTOR AT BOLD
With over 20 years of experience in design, he has worked in agencies as a designer and art director. In 2006, he co-founded BOLD, a branding studio in Spain, where he is partner and design director. He has received awards such as the Laus and Pentawards. He holds a degree in Design from ISEC Lisbon and has complemented his training at schools including Central Saint Martins and the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Since 2013, he has combined his work at BOLD with teaching.
You will analyse the visual codes that shape a brand’s identity and learn to apply them in corporate projects of any scale or sector. You will work on translating these codes into coherent and recognisable solutions. Additionally, you will develop the foundations of verbal identity, essential for defining a brand’s voice, tone and creative expression from the very first level of communication.

BÁRBARA MARTÍNEZ, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
With over 25 years of experience developing visual branding strategies, communication and brand experiences, she specialises in the fashion and art sectors, combining aesthetic sensitivity, strategic thinking and creative leadership to build coherent, emotional and memorable brand universes. Expert in crafting soulful concepts, leading multidisciplinary teams, and transforming ideas into powerful visual narratives. Since 2007, she has combined her professional work with teaching at various universities.
You will learn how to bring graphic identities to life, understanding how animation enhances the impact of a brand compared to static designs. You will explore the principles of motion graphics and apply techniques to present animated brands and visual elements. You will work with tools such as Illustrator and After Effects to create dynamic, contemporary and competitive identities.

LAIA FERRÁN, MOTION AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Graphic designer specialising in motion design. After working in agencies and studios, she trained in animation and began her freelance career. Her style is defined by clean and conceptual movements. She currently works at Hey Studio while managing freelance motion design projects. She has collaborated with companies such as AQKA Holland, ADG-*fad, Mucho, and brands including Google, Nike, Apple, Durex, Inditex, Ajuntament de Barcelona, and the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica.
You will delve into editorial design, understanding every decision involved in building a coherent project: format, typography, grids, photography, and illustration. You will learn to plan and structure publications using InDesign, managing time, roles, and responsibilities effectively within the editorial process. You will also become familiar with the professionals involved and how to coordinate with them to achieve solid and well-executed graphic results.

XAVIER PALOUZIÉ, GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT PALOUZIÉ STUDIO
Founder of Palouzié Studio, a design and art direction studio that seeks creative solutions for projects in visual identity, graphic communication, signage, packaging, editorial, and online. He has worked at Comunica AD and Estudi Virgili as a graphic designer and art director, and served on the board of ADG-FAD (2013–2015). He has been recognised with multiple awards including Laus, ADC*E and Anuaria. Currently, he is Head of Studies in the Graphic and Digital Design area at Idep Barcelona.
You will explore the fundamentals of digital design, focusing on user experience, usability, and interfaces. You will learn to think digitally, transitioning from an analog mindset to one oriented toward interactive products. You will work from initial strategy to the creation of wireframes and navigation definition, building a solid foundation to design functional and coherent interfaces.

He works at MANEKO, a studio where he develops editorial design, corporate identity, and web design projects for clients such as Santander Universidades, Teatre del Liceu, BDO, and Laboratorios Viñas, among others. Specialised in typography, branding, and user experience, he combines creativity and technical skills to deliver effective visual solutions.
You will develop the visual layer of your digital projects and learn to present your designs as if they were finished products. You will see how tools like Marvel and InVision allow you to create realistic functional prototypes. You will also explore site builders such as Cargo Collective, Readymag, and Squarespace to bring your proposals to a semi-finished level and build your portfolio. Figma will set the standard due to its extensive design and prototyping capabilities.

You will also become familiar with cost optimisation methods and essential guidelines for communicating effectively with clients and suppliers.

NURIA GARCÍA, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF I AM NÚRIA
Specialist in creative consultancy applied to print production. She has been leading I Am Núria for over 10 years, specialising in graphic services, with deep knowledge of papers, techniques and finishes, supported by a team of expert professionals who ensure the best solution for every project.
A learning space focused on Adobe Creative Cloud software, where you will work with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom. You will have access to resources and exercises structured across three levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate and advanced. You will be supported by a professional lecturer specialised in these tools. The course runs for 6 weeks, alongside the introductory workshop and the first module.
You will develop a brand in its volumetric dimension, translating its identity into a tangible package. You will learn to apply the visual expression of branding across 6, 8 or 12 panels, exploring how form, color and structure communicate values. You will discover how to transform a graphic identity into volume and how to reinforce the brand message through packaging.

RUBIO & DEL AMO, DESIGN AND ADVERTISING STUDIO
Multidisciplinary design studio specialising in brands and everything surrounding them. For over 10 years, the studio has developed projects in editorial design, naming, packaging, digital design and other creative solutions for brands seeking to communicate with intention, clarity, and character.
Their approach combines strategy and design to build coherent, powerful visual universes adapted to each context. Notable clients and projects: Fundación Alcaraz, Premios AX, Spanish Space Agency, Cabify motosharing service, Blanc, Laus Magabook 2019, among others. Recognitions: Stone & Wood Selekted 2025 Award, Dircom Awards and other distinctions in design and communication.
A two-session masterclass cycle in which Olmo, project director at renowned design studios, shares his vision on effectively managing a creative studio. You will discover the importance of planning, organisation, and executing key processes. You will understand the essential elements to ensure continuity and sustainability within the creative ecosystem. A session designed to improve management and strengthen the structure of any design studio.

He has over 20 years of experience, bringing a global vision that combines design, strategy, and business development to projects. Trained as a designer at Escola Massana in Barcelona, he regularly speaks at industry conferences, teaches, and oversees business development at the startup Nima World. He has worked with brands such as BASF, SEAT, and Mahou.
You will learn to strengthen your business mindset and transform a creative idea into a profitable and sustainable venture. You will discover the keys to turning projects into real opportunities, exploring areas such as strategic planning, resource management, market analysis, and value proposition.

MARIO SORRIBAS, BUSINESS STORYTELLING AND PERSUASIVE COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT AND TRAINER
Founder and Head Storyteller at Storytelling&Co., specialised in the strategic use of corporate narratives as a communication tool. For more than 10 years, he has worked with companies, organisations, and institutions helping them build authentic and emotional stories that connect with their audiences. He is also part of the Red de Consultores Totales, where he promotes the creation of purpose-driven, human, and collaborative businesses capable of generating value and a sense of belonging.
You will explore the principles of Design Thinking through a new perspective on collaborative design that places the user at the centre and rethinks and adapts traditional design processes. You will acquire the tools needed to develop new methodologies in creative and entrepreneurial processes, using the latest techniques such as Manual Thinking, SCAMPER and lateral thinking.

TOMOKO SAKAMOTO, CO-FOUNDER OF SPREAD
Architect, editor and designer of architecture and design books at Actar. She has designed and coordinated several exhibitions at the RAS exhibition space/bookshop.
All students are required to complete a Master’s Final Project, consisting of a personal comprehensive graphic design project based on the content covered throughout the programme.

Professional Certifications
Throughout the Master’s programme, you will have the opportunity to prepare for internationally recognised professional certifications that will strengthen your profile in digital design and user experience.
You will be able to certify your skills in various Adobe Creative Cloud applications through Adobe Certified Professional, an industry-recognised accreditation that demonstrates technical proficiency in key tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to prepare for the international Certified Professional for Usability and UX (CPUX) certification, promoted by the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB). This standard validates knowledge in usability, human-centred design (HCD), and evaluation of digital experiences.
The CPUX standard includes several levels:

Qualification
Upon successful completion of the programme and after completing the required administrative procedures, you will receive the ESDESIGN Master’s Degree. In addition, you will have the possibility of obtaining a Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, provided that you meet the academic, documentation, payment and administrative requirements established by the institution.
To obtain this qualification, you must hold a prior university degree (Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering Degree or equivalent). In exceptional cases, if you do not hold such a degree but can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the field and have successfully passed the Master’s assessments, you will be awarded a Certificate from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU).
