7 January 2024

During the session, attendees gained an inside look into the sector and had their questions answered by experts.

On Wednesday 7 January 2024, more than 50 people interested in the field of audiovisual production and communication gathered to address the current landscape and the main challenges facing the sector during an information session hosted by ESDESIGN, the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Barcelona.

The School, part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, organised this event to share an analysis of the new paradigm emerging in the sector and to present its latest educational offering: the Master’s in Audiovisual Production and Communication, which aims to train professionals in this rapidly growing field.

The online session featured Jorge Wimes, the School’s Academic Director, and Luis Alfaro, Director of the Master’s in Audiovisual Production and Communication. Together, they invited attendees to dive behind the scenes of audiovisual production, highlighting the need for multidisciplinary professionals capable of responding to the industry's constant changes.

During the event, Luis Alfaro—who has over 25 years of experience in the sector, including work for major platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Cuatro, and Antena 3—presented a series of projects, including the spin-off of the series Berlin for Netflix, where he detailed the resources and processes required to bring these pieces to life.

Following the showcase of various projects led by Alfaro, participants enjoyed a Q&A session where the experts shared insights based on their professional and personal experience, encouraging everyone present to approach work in the audiovisual world with enthusiasm and passion.
