Student Portfolio: Jardines de la Mar Bella
Victoria Domingo, Marina Hernández, Laura de Torres y Eva Martín, students of the Professional Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and Sustainable Urbanism at ESDESIGN, present their project, Jardines de la Mar Bella.
Jardines de la Mar bella is a project that proposes to transform a polluted and underused environment such as the Fórum Platform, located in the Mar Bella area. This platform creates a barrier between the urban fabric and the sea, resulting in a spatial, activity and ecological disconnection.
In response to this situation, the group proposes to renaturalise the area and turn this space into an urban zone where nature and people converge, thus making it a pleasant, accessible place that is resilient to climate change, generating significant ecological value and environmental benefits, benefiting both citizens and wildlife.
This Master’s Final Project is the winner of the Master’s Final Project Awards 2023.
