Student Portfolio: Ático en Barcelona

Carolina Ruiz, César Gómez y María Alejandra Colina, students of the Professional Master’s Degree in Interior Design at ESDESIGN, present their project, Ático en Barcelona. 

Ático en Barcelona is a proposal that transforms an existing penthouse into a contemporary home located in the city of Barcelona that responds to different ways of living, combining cohabitation, creative work and domestic life within the same space.

The project is inspired by Mediterranean architecture, natural light and the urban context of Barcelona. Through a flexible layout and a carefully considered relationship between interior and exterior, private spaces, shared areas and a terrace conceived as an extension of the interior are integrated. The selection of natural materials, light palettes and custom-made furniture reinforces a warm, functional and timeless atmosphere.

This project exemplifies the type of work developed in the Professional Master’s Degree in Interior Design at ESDESIGN, where students learn to design real spaces with technical criteria, aesthetic sensitivity and a contemporary vision. Ático en Barcelona demonstrates how to build a strong professional portfolio aligned with the current demands of the interior design sector.
