Student Portfolio: Nuevos Aires

Alejandro Magro, student of the Professional Master’s Degree in Editorial Design and Digital Publishing at ESDESIGN, presents his project Nuevos Aires.

Nuevos Aires is an editorial project that invites exploration of the emotional and creative facets of migration, combining literature and music to offer a multisensory experience. Through narratives, chronicles, poems and songs, the project captures the complexities of the process of adapting to a new environment, with special attention to life in Barcelona and the challenge of building a new identity.

Inspired by the album of the same name by his music group, Nuevos Aires connects emotions and reflections in a narrative piece that establishes a dialogue between the written word and music. Each design decision seeks to convey authenticity and create an intimate connection with the reader, integrating text, photographs and melodies into a work that explores the search for identity in a different cultural context.

This Master’s Final Project represents an innovative exploration of narrative and artistic expression, reflecting the personal experience of migration from an aesthetic and emotional perspective.
