Student Portfolio: ChairWay
Bernat Cloquell, student of the Professional Master’s Degree in Product Design and Digital Modelling at ESDESIGN, presents his project, ChairWay.
ChairWay is a project that arises from the need to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility on unpaved terrain. ChairWay is a two-wheeled off-road electric wheelchair that allows the user to control acceleration and braking through torso inclination, and steering with a handlebar.
With these features, users do not need to exert forward force and it facilitates movement on slopes and rough terrain. The project is designed for Jeep, so the aesthetics of the chair follow the brand’s style.
This Master’s Final Project is one of the finalists in the Master’s Final Project Awards 2023.
