Student Portfolio: MAST XOCOLATL

Claudia Castillo, Edward Quevedo, Heidy Puentes, Carolina Fernández, students of the Professional Master’s Degree in Design and Art Direction at ESDESIGN, present their project, MAST XOCOLATL.

Xocolatl is a project that reinterprets the entry of Mast Brothers into the Mexican market through a special edition chocolate bar. The project highlights cacao as a cultural and symbolic element, connecting product, territory and tradition from a contemporary perspective.

The proposal is built from a visual and sensory narrative, where packaging design, illustration, typography and colour celebrate the pre-Hispanic roots of Mexico. This is complemented by physical activations, immersive experiences and collaborations with local artists that transform chocolate into an emotional and cultural experience.

This Master’s Final Project reflects how at ESDESIGN students integrate strategy, concept and art direction into complete projects. A sample of the work that forms part of the online design portfolio, aligned with the reality of the creative industry.
