Study Plan of the Online Master’s in Audiovisual Production and Communication
The Professional Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Production and Communication consists of 10 modules, a Final Master’s Project, 1 After Effects Open Classroom, 2 additional workshops related to the programme, 2 Masterclasses, and 2 transversal workshops.
You will discover what connects humanity's first narratives with the most current stories and why storytelling remains essential. You will work with the key mechanisms of narrative to learn how to "tell a story well," whether it is a plot, corporate communication, or your own project. Consultant and expert professor in storytelling and brand narratives. Founder of theyelloway.com and creator of two storytelling methodologies through which more than 30,000 people from companies and brands such as Accenture, Red Cross, Danone, or Telefonica have created their storytelling. "Diario Expansión" dubbed Víctor as "the scriptwriter for executives," and he has received several awards such as "most practical training" (Foment del Treball) and academic excellence from I.E. University.
You will learn to create professional scripts that are not only well-written but also marketable. You will work on how to captivate your audience through unforgettable characters and immersive plots. You will delve into narrative structure and discover how to write effective dialogue and use subtext to communicate beyond words. A film and television screenwriter who alternates his writing activity with teaching at various schools and universities. He has worked on all types of projects, such as the comedies “La familia Mata”, “Chiringuito de Pepe”, or “Chueco” and “How to Survive High School” for Disney+, the thriller “Atrapada” for Sony Mexico, and the crime series “La Sala” for HBO. He created the suspense series “Karabudjan” and is the author of the feature films “The Backwoods”, a thriller starring Gary Oldman, and “All the Moons”, a fantasy genre film featuring Itziar Ituño (Money Heist).
You will develop the ability to read and write in audiovisual language in a solid and conscious way. You will learn to use each element (framing, light, sound, movement, or editing) to build pieces with narrative intent. You will work on how technical decisions influence the rhythm, tone, and emotions of a story. You will create audiovisual content with criteria, coherence, and your own unique perspective.

KIKE COSTA, DIRECTOR, SCREENWRITER AND EDITOR
With 17 years of experience in fiction, documentary, and entertainment. Recently, he has worked on series for platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, SkyShowtime, or Atresplayer. Furthermore, he has been a director of television programmes for several of the most important free-to-air channels in Spain, including Televisión Española, Antena 3, or Telecinco, among others. He has also written and edited two feature films released in cinemas.
You will develop technical, artistic, and communicative criteria to work with images consciously and effectively. Deepening your knowledge of light, colour, and composition will allow you to understand how an image is constructed and the impact it generates on the viewer. You will also learn to use photography as a tool to observe, interpret, and explain the world with a more precise and expressive gaze.

FRAN CARMONA VELASCO, EDITOR AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Television and documentary editor with 20 years of experience in the sector. He has worked on projects as varied as Radio Gaga for Movistar+, Salvados with Jordi Évole, the reality show La Travessa for 3Cat, and La Fleur, a documentary for the Josep Carreras Foundation. He has developed his career in production companies such as Mediapro, DLO Producciones, Brutal Media, and Producciones del Barrio, participating in content for TV3, Cuatro, La Sexta, and Atresplayer. Although he has also worked in film and documentary, his specialisation is television, and he combines his work as an editor with roles in assistant direction and teaching.
You will discover how a television format is conceived, designed, developed, and sold, understanding its importance and evolution in a constantly changing market. You will analyse current trends and learn to detect creative opportunities. You will work through the complete process: from generating original concepts to turning them into a solid sales dossier. The module culminates with a practical case study that will take you from the idea to a professional pitching session.

With over eight years of experience in the audiovisual sector, his professional career began in the world of television after studying International Business and Marketing. Throughout these years, he has developed his career in the production department of major entertainment formats such as "Operación Triunfo" but, later on, he directed his career towards content development.
You will discover how to write and produce content for social media, reports, and news pieces, leveraging reality as a constant source of stories. You will learn to identify relevant topics, research them, and find creative approaches that connect with the audience. You will also develop your own voice as an audiovisual narrator. You will master the keys to creating content that stands out in a competitive and continuously transforming environment.

For over 10 years, she has been leading the digital social media strategy for major entertainment projects, events, festivals, premieres, and coverage at Atresmedia. 'The Voice', 'Mask Singer', 'Tu Cara me Suena', the 'Moto GP' world championship, and the digital content strategy for the atresplayer platform and its content are some examples. She also manages commercial actions and branded content for clients such as BBVA, Central Lechera Asturiana, Mercadona, Nescafé, Danone, and L’Oreal. She works with multidisciplinary teams, managing communication, processes, and timelines for various projects to achieve objectives in a timely and effective manner.
You will delve into all phases of a project, from the initial idea to the final delivery. You will see how to practically plan, coordinate, and optimize the technical and human resources necessary to carry out an audiovisual piece. Executive Producer and Head of Production at Fuego Camina Conmigo, an agency recognized among the most prominent in Spain. He has led audiovisual and digital projects for brands such as Volkswagen, Decathlon, Repsol, and Euroleague, among many others. With more than 20 years of experience in advertising and branded content, he combines strategic vision and execution capability to transform creative ideas into concrete and effective productions.
You will understand the communicative environment of an organisation and learn to analyse its challenges to design effective strategies. You will develop skills in image and reputation management, internal and external communication, and crisis management. You will work on aligning communication with corporate values and objectives, incorporating sustainability, transparency, and digital transformation. The goal is for you to be able to plan actions, evaluate results, and project a solid and coherent identity.

With 18 years of experience in the conceptualisation and development of communication and corporate marketing strategies, she specialises in online marketing and social influence. Prior to joining Torres y Carrera, the communication consultancy where she works as Marketing and Digital Strategy Director, Laura worked at agencies such as the multinational Havas, where she served as Head of Social Media and Digital PR, and at the agency Best, where she worked as a Senior Communication and Social Media Consultant.

DELIA RAMOS, PRODUCT DESIGNER
She has over 15 years of experience in strategic marketing, digital advertising, and projects. A specialist in integrated campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital), branded content, and omnichannel strategies for brands such as Orange, Huawei, and Disney. She has a solid track record in leading multidisciplinary teams, strategic planning, digital innovation, and data-driven marketing. This is in addition to her current work in product design for the technology sector in London.
You will discover how to communicate and create content for brands using audiovisual media for promotional purposes. You will work on constructing persuasive messages by combining creative, narrative, and visual elements tailored to each audience. You will analyse new forms of content sponsorship and the opportunities they offer. Furthermore, you will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming these processes and expanding the possibilities in audiovisual production.

JAUME MONTANÉ, FILMMAKER AND CO-FOUNDER OF COPILOTOS & RIAL
Co-Founder of RIAL AI Creative Studio, which offers pre-production and post-production services in the fields of film, advertising, and video. He has over 18 years of experience as a director and head of audiovisual content and is a specialist in Generative AI for photography and video production.
This is an autonomous learning space where you will find resources and exercises to learn, improve, or perfect your mastery of the software. For three weeks, you can practice at your own pace, resolve doubts, and reinforce key techniques. This classroom runs in parallel with the introductory workshop and the first module, allowing you to progress in a practical and continuous way.

ALEX PALAZZI, GRAPHIC DESIGNER SPECIALISING IN 2D AND 3D ANIMATION, MAPPING, AND DIGITAL POST-PRODUCTION
After several years in design and advertising studios and agencies in Barcelona collaborating on animation, mapping, and digital post-production works, in 2015 he decided to go freelance, developing projects for local and international brands such as Adobe, PayPal, Women's Health, PepsiCo, Movistar+, Nespresso, and Rossignol, among others.
Adobe Photoshop software learning environment, where you will work with Illustrator and Photoshop. You will have resources and exercises based on 3 levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. You will receive guidance from a professional instructor who is an expert in these tools.

QUIQUE LÓPEZ, DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER OF PINO DESIGN
After working in various studios and agencies, in 2016 he founded Pino, working for major brands such as Burger King UK, Burger King ROI, Wyndham Hotels, Cauchos Karey, Albert and Ferran Adrià, Equilibrium, and actahotels. He has been awarded a Silver Laus in the graphic design category (naming and book); he also served as a jury member for these awards in 2014 and for the Valencia Crea contest in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
You will learn why a professional production cannot exist without solid and well-constructed sound design. You will discover how to enhance your edits by making the most of the expressive power of sound. You will practice with resources and technological tools to create atmospheres, rhythms, and sensations. You will understand how sound design transforms a visual piece into a complete experience. Music producer, sound designer, and mixing & mastering engineer. He has carried out interesting projects for record labels, artists, agencies, and audiovisual projects for the world of advertising, film, and video games.
In this introduction to After Effects, you will learn the necessary foundations to give your projects a professional finish. You will discover how to use customizable templates to elevate your edits without needing to master advanced techniques. You will practice key tools that will allow you to create more dynamic and attractive compositions. The goal is for you to be able to deliver results that surprise your clients and give your pieces a higher level of post-production.

With over 10 years of experience, she has produced all types of audiovisual content for production companies such as Lastor Media and What's up Doc. Producer of the films "Creatura," awarded at the Gaudí Awards for Best Film in Catalan Language, and "Polvo serán," also a winner at the Gaudí Awards for Best Film in Non-Catalan Language. She also collaborated as Executive Producer on the film "Suro," which participated in the Official Selection of the San Sebastián Festival 2022.

You will explore the principles of Design Thinking through a new perspective on collaborative design that places the user at the centre and rethinks and adapts traditional design processes. TOMOKO SAKAMOTO, CO-FOUNDER OF SPREAD
Architect, editor and designer of architecture and design books at Actar. She has designed and coordinated several exhibitions at the RAS exhibition space/bookshop.
You will plan, organise, and develop a project from the initial research phase to its production. You will acquire skills in project management, creativity, and quality by applying all the knowledge learned throughout the Master's Final Project (MFP).

Qualification
Upon successful completion of the programme and after completing the required administrative procedures, you will receive the ESDESIGN Master’s Degree. In addition, you will have the possibility of obtaining a Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, provided that you meet the academic, documentation, payment and administrative requirements established by the institution.
To obtain this qualification, you must hold a prior university degree (Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering Degree or equivalent). In exceptional cases, if you do not hold such a degree but can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the field and have successfully passed the Master’s assessments, you will be awarded a Certificate from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU).
