Study Plan of the Online Master’s Degree in Interior Decoration
The Professional Master’s Degree in Interior Decoration consists of 10 subjects, the Master’s Final Project, 1 Open Classroom on Spaces, 2 programme workshops and 2 transversal workshops:
This module explores the foundations of interior design and home decoration from a critical and evolving perspective, reflecting on how we inhabit spaces today. You will learn to present your ideas intuitively, visually and professionally, compiling all project documentation into models, layouts and client-ready files. You will work with tools to create appealing images and communicate your proposals with clarity and coherence. The goal is to master the graphic resources needed to make your projects stand out and connect visually from the first interaction.

Graphic and UX/UI designer with over 16 years of experience in interactive and digital projects. He has witnessed the evolution of digital media across many top-tier companies.

You will analyse new models of coexistence, the impact of urban growth, and the rise of neo-ruralism. Through social, economic and technological trends, you will learn to interpret the evolution of daily life and propose innovative and sustainable solutions that respond to these new realities.

She has delivered over 200 talks worldwide on trends. In 2016, she founded her consultancy, specialised in researching and applying trends in strategic contexts. She leads research at CENFIM’s trendsCLUB. For ten years, she directed the Habitat Trends Observatory, establishing herself as a reference in foresight and innovation in lifestyle, design, and consumption.
As a designer, your goal will be to create interiors that truly enhance people’s well-being. You will learn to look beyond aesthetics and aim for deep comfort that transforms the experience of those inhabiting a space. You will discover how to imbue interiors with both visible and invisible qualities that impact daily life, considering that we spend 90% of our time in them. Material selection will be key, and you will work with solid criteria based on their interaction with light, sound, and air quality.

Holds postgraduate qualifications in workspace design and private perimeter design. He collaborates on project development as an associate at the architecture studio Octavio Mestre Arquitectos.
You will focus on the details that bring warmth and personality to a space, developing your own style across different settings. You will ensure coherence in each proposal, regardless of location. Additionally, you will concentrate on elements such as lighting, colour, and materials that help the client feel ownership of the project and connect with the created environment.

Graduate in Architecture from the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya and specialised in Retail Management at EADA Business School. She has collaborated with some of the most prestigious and inspiring interior designers in Spain, leading projects of varying scale.
You will learn to use lighting as a key tool in interior design, analysing different types of light, their impact on spatial perception, and their application according to each environment. You will work on selecting fixtures, creating lighting schemes, and adjusting levels to produce functional and aesthetic atmospheres. He develops architectural, interior, landscape and urban lighting projects in various countries. An architect specialised in lighting design, his career is defined by a close relationship with natural and artificial light, which he analyses, understands, and applies in both his projects and photography.
You will understand the function of each space to create balanced proposals in proportion, form, and design. You will analyse daily habits to select appropriate furniture by size, shape, and arrangement. You will train your eye to recognise good design and identify details that add value. You will learn to interpret visual resources that enhance the coherence of your decisions. You will develop precision and technical judgement to resolve each decorative proposal and boost your creativity to design present and future spaces with confidence and clarity.

She has developed her professional career in her own studio, executing projects in residential, hospitality, contract, and retail sectors.
Clients expect you to address their needs, new uses, and desires through an effective layout. You will learn to optimise each space to make it more functional, aesthetic, and coherent. You will develop the ability to improve circulation and enhance user comfort. You will delve into furniture design as the “second skin” of the space. You will learn to create solutions with more storage and better organisation, reducing visual clutter to achieve clearer, practical, and balanced environments.

She began her professional career at Wasabis studio and subsequently collaborated with various studios and companies. She currently participates in projects with Gemma Sallent Estudio and Feliu Franquesa Real Estate, combining professional practice with teaching, aiming to bring students closer to real interior design processes.
Details matter because they give character and warmth to a space. You will learn to master floral design to create compositions that harmonise with the environment. You will know how to choose the right wall for each artwork and hang it at the optimal height. You will discover how to organise books on shelves to balance aesthetics and functionality. You will explore textile combinations to enhance key pieces such as the sofa. Mastering all these elements will allow you to complete each project with coherence, personality, and precision.

RAQUEL CURRAIS, INTERIOR DESIGNER AND STYLIST AT IKEA MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS AB
She began her career at the interior studio Maite Baquedano. Years later, she started working for the Swedish multinational IKEA, where she has progressed professionally to the heart of IKEA in Sweden, designing environments for one of the world’s most famous catalogues and creating content for web and social media.
You will learn to professionally manage every phase of an interior design project, from direct client interaction to final planning and execution. You will work on organisational strategies, task coordination methods, and tools to transform your ideas into an agile and efficient process. The goal is to develop the ability to lead a real project, optimising time, resources, and communication to ensure successful outcomes.

He has worked as an art director for companies such as Renault, Seat, Cupra, Audi, Fundació Catalunya la Pedrera, and Abertis. In 2004, he founded Tàctica, a multidisciplinary design, art direction, and advertising studio, and combines his professional work with over 20 years of teaching experience at various institutions.
Learning environment focused on AutoCAD software and representation drawing. You will have access to resources and exercises structured across three levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate and advanced. You will be supported by a professional lecturer specialised in these tools. Duration: 6 weeks, running in parallel with the introductory workshop and the first subject.

For more than 10 years, he has worked with companies, organisations, and institutions helping them build authentic and emotional stories that connect with their audiences. He is also part of the Red de Consultores Totales, where he promotes the creation of purpose-driven, human, and collaborative businesses capable of generating value and a sense of belonging.
You will explore Design Thinking concepts from a new collaborative design perspective that places the user at the center and rethinks traditional design processes. You will gain the tools needed to implement new methodologies in creative and entrepreneurial processes using the latest techniques such as Manual Thinking, SCAMPER, and lateral thinking.

He studies art and industrial design. Works across design, architecture, communication, cultural management, and social activism. He writes specialised articles and books.

TOMOKO SAKAMATO, CO-FOUNDER OF SPREAD
Architect, editor, and designer of architecture and design books at Actar. She has designed and coordinated exhibitions at the RAS exhibition space/bookstore.
In addition to completing the credits from the previous modules, all students must develop a Master’s Final Project, consisting of a project carried out in small groups with a defined theme and space. The project must address a complete interior decoration assignment, covering all phases of design.
Deliverables will include idea moodboards, preliminary design, full executive project, photomontages or infographics, and proposals for furniture, lighting, and decoration, following the standard process of any interior decoration project.
The Master’s Final Project concludes with the defense and approval of the project before a review panel. The project must be fully resolved across all dimensions: conceptual, sociocultural, formal, technical, and managerial.

Upon successful completion of the programme and after completing the required administrative procedures, you will receive the ESDESIGN Master’s Degree. In addition, you will have the possibility of obtaining a Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, provided that you meet the academic, documentation, payment and administrative requirements established by the institution.
To obtain this qualification, you must hold a prior university degree (Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering Degree or equivalent). In exceptional cases, if you do not hold such a degree but can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the field and have successfully passed the Master’s assessments, you will be awarded a Certificate from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU).
