Alfons Pich participates in the MWC26 with the Giga international project

Alfons Pich, a lecturer
Within the framework of the congress, Alfons worked in the project's communication and press area, which aims to drive internet connectivity in schools worldwide. The initiative seeks to support governments in mapping educational centres, analysing infrastructure, and mobilising investment to improve digital connection, especially in areas where access remains limited.
During the event, the Giga Accelerator Demo Day was also held at the 4YFN (Four Years From Now) space, where several startups presented technological solutions focused on improving last-mile connectivity. These proposals explore new ways to expand internet access and reinforce digital infrastructure within the educational field.
The Mobile World Congress brings together international leaders from the tech sector, companies, startups, and institutions every year to develop innovative solutions for global connectivity. In this context, the Giga project positions itself as a key initiative for advancing towards a more accessible and connected education.
Alfons Pich’s participation in this international meeting highlights the role of design, technology, and communication in projects seeking large-scale social impact, contributing to driving new educational opportunities through digital connectivity.
