Laura Meseguer, a lecturer on the Master in Editorial Design and Digital Publications at ESDESIGN, Barcelona School of Design — part of Planeta Formación y Universidades — participated in the latest edition of Gutun Zuria, the International Festival of Letters organised by Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao.

Within the festival programme, Meseguer delivered a masterclass and a talk centred on typography, addressing the role of letters as an essential element in the construction of visual and editorial discourse. Through examples and reflections on type design, she invited attendees to observe letters from a new perspective, understanding their capacity to convey meaning, rhythm, and personality in graphic projects.

The meeting brought together an audience of literature, design, and visual culture enthusiasts, creating a space for exchange between professionals from various creative fields. During the festival, Meseguer also connected with authors, curators, and consultants linked to the publishing world, in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary dialogue.

Laura Meseguer’s participation in Gutun Zuria reinforces the link between design and literature, highlighting the role of typography as a key tool for interpreting and communicating the written language. At ESDESIGN, we celebrate her presence at an event that promotes cultural reflection and the exchange of ideas surrounding the world of letters and design.
