ESDESIGN talent showcased at the Delta Awards 2026 exhibition
‘Delta Awards 2026. Industrial Design and Design Culture’ is the title of the exhibition bringing together 203 projects selected from 422 submissions entered into the 43rd edition of the Delta Awards.
Held on 22 July, this latest edition of the awards not only reinstated the original name under which they were established in 1961, but also recognised a wide range of proposals that highlight industrial design as a strategic tool. The awards celebrate excellence in design within a constantly evolving field, where innovation, sustainability, quality and the ability to create meaningful impact are becoming increasingly important.
Organised by ADI-FAD (Industrial Design Association), the exhibition showcases a broad selection of final Bachelor's Degree and Master's projects developed by emerging designers, alongside outstanding initiatives from the cultural sector created over the past two years. The association works to promote industrial design as a strategic driver of economic and social progress, fostering excellence in product design practices and advancing design culture through exhibitions, conferences, awards and other activities.
The collection of works on display offers a comprehensive overview of the current industrial design landscape in Spain. The selection demonstrates how products from diverse fields share a common purpose: creating value for people, respecting the environment and promoting professional best practice, while reflecting the quality, innovation and dynamism of contemporary industrial design.
ESDESIGN talent showcased in the exhibition
Among the projects featured in the exhibition are several developed by the ESDESIGN community. One of the highlights is Boundless, by Iván Alejandro Hernández and Fátima Franco, which received a Delta Silver Medal for its innovative and inclusive response to the needs of people with visual impairments through a modular training kit comprising six products. Likewise, Domus, by Lilian Chowell and José Alberto Téllez Reguero, was awarded a Delta Bronze Medal for its original proposal of an integrated modular system of shelters for birds and solitary bees in urban environments.
The school's presence is further strengthened through the participation of several lecturers from the Master's in Product Design and Digital Modelling. Visitors to the exhibition can discover projects such as Nexus, by Bernat Faura (Plumartis) for Dimasa; and Sustain Awards, by Jordi Blasi for Sustain Awards, which received a Delta Silver Medal. Also featured in the Delta Culture section is the exhibition La Mar de plástico, developed by Héctor Serrano for the Museum of Nature and Archaeology of Tenerife.
All these designs, together with the other selected projects, will be on display at the Disseny Hub Barcelona from 23 July to 6 September.
Through its participation in one of the country's leading industrial design events, ESDESIGN, the Higher School of Design in Barcelona, part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, reaffirms its commitment to an education closely connected to leading companies, initiatives and organisations within the sector. The school continues to foster the visibility of the talent within its academic community while encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration between professionals and institutions.
