Kitchen Secrets: Flavours That Kill
Mónica Quirós and María del Carmen Puga, students on the Professional Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Production and Communication at ESDESIGN, present their project, Kitchen Secrets: Flavours That Kill.
Kitchen Secrets: Flavours That Kill is a dramatic thriller audiovisual miniseries that blends traditional Latin American cuisine with stories of justice, resistance and female empowerment. Each episode uses a typical dish as a narrative metaphor to explore real social conflicts through a cinematic lens.
The project stands out for its narrative and aesthetic ambition, combining drama, suspense and a strong visual identity inspired by references such as Almodóvar, Tarantino and Wes Anderson. The planning of the script, cinematography, sound design and launch strategy demonstrates a professional approach conceived for streaming platforms.
This Final Master’s Project highlights the approach of the programme. Throughout the master’s, narrative, production and strategy are developed to shape projects with real-world potential, enabling students to build a professional portfolio aligned with the audiovisual sector.
