Review by Macarena Spano, student of the Master’s in Editorial Design and Digital Publications

Macarena Spano

Our student Macarena Spano, from the Master’s in Editorial Design and Digital Publications, shares her review of her experience at ESDESIGN.

Why did you decide to take a Master’s at ESDESIGN?

After completing my undergraduate degree, I wanted to delve deeper into the editorial field. In my country, there was no such specialisation, at least not at that time. The possibility of doing it online and via distance learning was fundamental in my decision to enrol in the Master’s.

What did you like most about the school?

Broadening my vision as a designer and gaining new perspectives by interacting with colleagues and lecturers from other countries. Design has universal aspects, but it is experienced and practiced differently in Latin America, Europe, or any other part of the world.

What would you say to those considering studying at ESDESIGN?

Don't hesitate to do it. Personally, I consider it very important to be in a state of constant learning; the lecturers at ESDESIGN are excellent professionals, and that greatly enriches the experience.

What is the best memory you take away from this experience?

I think the format adds a very interesting value to the Master’s. I remember attending classes in Buenos Aires given by a lecturer in Shanghai, while my classmates and colleagues were spread across Spain and Latin America.

What doors has studying at ESDESIGN opened for you?

The opportunity to expand my portfolio and work on developing my own projects.

What are you currently working on? What projects are you involved in?

I am currently still working as a graphic designer for a company, and in parallel, I am working to formalise and bring my Master’s Final Project to life.

If you could repeat this experience, would you?

Yes, of course.

Thank you very much for your words, Macarena!
