Francesca Tur, Joint Programme Director of the Master inFashion Business and Brand Management and Creation at ESDESIGN, Barcelona School of Design — part of Planeta Formación y Universidades — is part of the main programme for Sónar+D 2025, one of the most significant international gatherings at the intersection of creativity, technology, and cultural innovation.

This year’s edition is structured around three main pillars: AI + Creativity, Futuring the Creative Industries, and Worlds to Come. These address everything from digital sustainability and new cultural imaginaries to space exploration, non-binary futurism, and the transformation of the creative industries. With over a hundred activities, the event brings together artists, researchers, technologists, and creative professionals in a hybrid environment combining talks, performances, installations, and participatory spaces.

Francesca Tur features in the sessions ‘Aquelarre Futurista’ and ‘Hacking the World’, alongside Berta Segura, within the block dedicated to new applications and perspectives of Artificial Intelligence in creative processes. These sessions explore how emerging tools can be integrated into culture and brands from a critical and strategic vision, going beyond the conventional use of generative AI.

Sónar+D thus consolidates itself as a space where thought, experimentation, and professional practice converge, broadening the debate on the impact of technology on design, music, and the cultural industries.

Tur’s participation reinforces ESDESIGN’s presence in international forums that set the agenda for the creative sector and project new ways of understanding innovation. We celebrate her contribution to an event that drives cross-disciplinary dialogue and places creativity at the heart of debates about the present and the future.
