María Callís participates as a jury member in the Work Forward Awards 2026
María Callís, Programme Director of the Master in Retail Design & Visual Merchandising at ESDESIGN, Barcelona School of Design — part of Planeta Formación y Universidades — is a member of the judging panel for the Work Forward Awards 2026, an initiative that promotes new ways of thinking about work environments through design, architecture, and innovation.

"The exhibition The WF Awards Exhibition: Work in Progress (FUTURE), held from 16 to 26 February at the Escoleta warehouse in Palo Alto Barcelona, presents an initial selection of the participating projects. The showcase brings together proposals developed by architecture, interior design, and product design students addressing the concepts of WORK & FUTURE and emerging models of workspaces.
Promoted by Bernadí and organised in collaboration with several leading academic institutions, the initiative connects the university sphere with business reality, fostering knowledge exchange and critical thinking. More than just an exhibition, the project is conceived as an open laboratory where design acts as a driver for wellbeing, innovation, and social transformation.
The ten finalist projects will be selected by a Scientific Committee composed of professionals and academics from the sector, including María Callís, alongside curator Miquel Àngel Julià Hierro and the co-chairs of the final jury. The chosen proposals will be featured in the Work Forward Awards Book, and the awards ceremony will take place on 14 May, within the framework of World Capital of Architecture 2026.
María Callís’ participation in this initiative reinforces ESDESIGN’s commitment to the debates defining the future of work and to the promotion of emerging talent in the fields of design and architecture.
