Romualdo Faura champions local talent at the Yecla Furniture Fair
Romualdo Faura, Programme Director of the Lifelong Learning Master's Degree in Illustration and Animation at ESDESIGN, Barcelona School of Design — part of Planeta Formación y Universidades — participated in the Yecla Furniture Fair (FMY) as one of the creative benchmarks who have shaped the event's visual identity in recent years.
Specifically, Faura was the author of the advertising graphics for the 2023 edition, a key piece within the event's communication strategy, designed to accompany exhibiting firms and visitors while reinforcing the sense of connection and belonging surrounding the fair. His work is part of the FMY’s ongoing commitment to highlighting and promoting local talent and those creators closely linked to the city of Yecla.

Renowned for his mastery of visual language and his work in the field of pictograms and signage, Romualdo Faura developed a proposal based on formal simplicity, a restrained use of colour, and the reduction of graphic elements. This approach champions design that is clear, accessible, and responsible, capable of communicating effectively through minimalist expression.
The organisers of the Yecla Furniture Fair (Feria del Mueble Yecla) highlight the value of these graphics as identity-defining elements which, edition after edition, build an iconic image of the event and reflect its evolution, history, and link with the local creative environment.
Romualdo Faura’s participation in the FMY reinforces ESDESIGN’s commitment to the professional projection of its faculty and to the promotion of design practices that combine visual thinking, responsibility, and cultural roots. This collaboration brings to the fore design as a tool for connection between territory, industry, and contemporary creativity.
